In this special Kid’s POV episode of the TiLT Parenting Podcast, Asher and I have another conversation about screen time. This time, we’re looking specifically at the question of whether or not a parent, at wits end with her child’s video game obsession and/or the disregulation that results from it, should “ban” certain games or even get rid of screen time altogether.

As you can imagine, Asher has some very strong opinions about the pros and cons of banning certain games, and he’ll tell you about the time we actually did ban a game in our house—Clash of Clans—and why he was ultimately grateful for our decision. We also talk about the nature of Minecraft, including mini-games, and the aspects of these which might be especially frustrating for differently-wired kids.
